ITINERARY
COSTA RICA THROUGH THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S EYE
Experience and Photograph the Beauty and Nature of Costa Rica

March 10 - 18, 2012

Day 1    
Arrival.  Airport pick up  
Dinner and Orientation
Lodging at Don Carlos Hotel (or similar)

Day 2       
After breakfast, travel to Arenal Volcano area  with stop at Poas Volcano
Evening at Hot Springs
Learn about and Practice Night Photography and Long Exposures
Lodging at El Silencio del Campo (or similar) in Arenal

Day 3       
Photography opportunities - Arenal Volcano, Waterfall, Hanging Bridges 
Visit with artist/photographer of the area
Optional - Sky Trek/Sky Tram
Lodging at El Silencio del Campo (or similar)in Arenal 

Day 4    
Travel to  Sarapiqui, Selva Verde Rain Forest
Photography opportunities in bio-diverse Tropical Rain Forest
Visit to Tropical Biological Station (OTS) with bilingual naturalist guide
Lodging at Selva Verde Lodge or OTS

Day 5    
Morning guided bird walk                                                                                                           Afternoon - optional river rafting or time to explore on your own                                               Evening - photography presentation  on site  Lodging at Selva Verde Lodge or OTS

Day 6   

Travel to Puerto Viejo and Caribbean beach area
Visit with Costa Rican photographers/artists in the area
Lodging in Aguas Claras colorful Caribbean style beach cottages (or similar) 

 Day 7

Punta Cocles - relaxing on the beach                                                                                            Optional activity - snorkeling or bike riding (additional charge) Lodging in Aguas Claras (or similar)

Day 8        
Return to San Jose area                                                                                                                  Sharing of images/slide show - critiques - final lessons

Day 9     
Departure in time for your flight
